MGR Membership

How do we recruit our members?

Many of our members are referred by word of mouth from existing members. We also place posters in libraries, sports clubs etc and advertise in local newspapers.

How do I apply for Membership?

Ideally by emailing our Membership Manager on enquiries@m-g-r.org.uk Please include your name, postal address and telephone or mobile number. We then contact you as soon as possible.
You could instead call our Membership Manager on 0800 298 5520 and if there is no reply, leave your name, address and a telephone number on the voicemail.
You will be invited to complete a written application form and include a recent photograph, preferably passport size, for retention in club records. The photograph allows committee members to recognise you when you attend your first ‘MGR Welcome Night’ near Maidenhead, where you will meet MGR members and other prospective members in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

What happens then?

Apply for membership of a singles social club based in hte Thames ValleyUpon receipt of your application form, you will be invited to become a Prospective Member. Sometimes there is a waiting list in which case you will be notified when a vacancy occurs. The waiting list is normally more likely to apply to women.
The club is obliged by its constitution to make every attempt to keep an even balance of men and women.

What is a Prospective Member?

When you become a Prospective Member you are enabled to attend club activities, apart from those held in members' homes. This allows you and the committee time to get to know one other before being invited by the committee to become a full member.
